Hang Son Doong

Rainforest or Jungle?

"Son Doong Cave is world's larges cave discovered in 2009"

Is the cave itself a jungle as in "jungle cavern" and the interior plants and animals part of a rainforest, so the cave would have its own jungle cavern and its own rainforest?

interesting online article about hang son doong cave:

Are the jungles more in Cambodia, and the rainforests more in Vietnam?

What are ... ?

There a few biogeography systems; There are a few ecology classification systems.  Since we are an international group, we normally recognise more than one biome and ecozone classification system.  It is more work and effort to know multiple systems, but the knowledge gained from the reasonable limits of knowing and using multiple systems is worth it.  Usually, current scientific classifications and information help jungle league's owner settle any disagreement or misconceptions among jungle league members.  It's not as a big of deal as some people (non-members) can make it out to be.  This post is for readers to begin to explore "What are biomes, ecozones, and jungles ? ".

What is a biome ?
What is an ecozone ?

The articles on wikipedia are fairly good to find answers to those questions above.

See example below the chart ...

What are jungles ?

a few comments:  There are different ways jungles are found on Earth ... full jungle, non-rainforest mixed jungle, rainforest with jungle pockets and jungle edges, jungle interlaced with savanna - some jungle owners take these descriptions of the ways jungles are found on Earth and relate them to their jungle's biome and ecozone classifications.

I wasn't able to find the Rutger's Tel Taninim web site  (http://andromeda.rutgers.edu/~stieglit/tap.html

I did find the Ma'agan Mikhael shipwreck in the Crocodile River (Nahal Taninim) area -

just as an end note ... I was looking at how the word "nahal" was used in a book about Israel's geography
